Arvin Haddad Critiques $32M Zultan P-Designed Hollywood Hills Home

In this scathing critique by Arvin Haddad, he takes aim at a contemporary property nestled in the exclusive bird streets of Hollywood Hills. Designed by the renowned Zultan P, this home boasts six bedrooms, eight bathrooms, and over 11,000 square feet of interior space. Initially priced at a staggering $34 million, the property has now seen a slight decrease to $32 million, a move that has left Haddad scratching his head in disbelief. As he delves into the architectural details, he highlights the presence of board form concrete walls, bronze slots wrapping around the property, and a unique caniver design in the backyard.
The entrance of the property sets the stage for Haddad's criticism, with multiple stairs leading up to the main level, obstructing the otherwise promising view. Inside, a glass walkway and a powder room with marble finishes showcase the property's attempt at luxury. However, Haddad does not hold back in his assessment of the kitchen, deeming it more suitable for a bar than a functional culinary space. The formal living room, while offering views of downtown Los Angeles, falls short in terms of functionality, a point that Haddad emphasizes as crucial in any property.
Moving to the exterior, Haddad expresses disdain for the overground infinity edge pool, likening it to a mere water fountain and criticizing its safety implications. Despite the property's ample outdoor space and architectural details, such as the use of steel columns and beams for the overhang design, Haddad remains unimpressed. His critique extends to the distant views from the property, noting that the blocked sightlines and lack of panoramic vistas diminish the overall appeal. In his signature style, Haddad leaves no stone unturned in his evaluation of this high-priced contemporary abode in the Hollywood Hills.
